About us

Welcome to Claire-Bears Doggy Daycare and Home Boarding.

Your dog will be part of our family when they stay with us’

Based in Bridgwater, Somerset (near Junction 24 of the M5) we
offer an alternative to kennels for your dog and provide a comfortable home
environment for your dog to stay in whilst you are away on holiday, at work or
just out for the day.

I have had a love of dogs from a young age and have shared
this love and passion with my family who in turn love dogs just as much!  I believe a home is not a home without a furry
friend to welcome you home with its tail wagging.

When your dog comes to stay at Claire-Bears they will become
part of the family and will aways have plenty of love and cuddles from all of
the family including my husband Tony, our daughter’s Erica (21) and Lydia(17), and
our son Aaron (14). Your pups will also be welcomed into the home by our  two resident cockapoo’s Rolo (9) and Nessie
(1) who are very laid back and after a good walk will happily curl up snoozing
most of the day.

I decided to start Claire-Bears Doggy Daycare and Home
Boarding in September 2024 and aim to provide your pups with a warm and welcoming
home,  and will have access to all of the
downstairs with comfortable areas to rest and sleep in (including sofas and dog
beds). They will be provided with plenty of space to exercise within our secure
garden. We have two nature reserves, and Bridgwater and Taunton canal on our
doorstep, as well as having woodlands, and beaches within a short drive, giving your dog
plenty of places to explore.

Rolo
Rolo is our large Cockapoo who is 9 years old and his favourite person in his mum (Claire) unless Dad (Tony) is out in the kitchen, as Rolo LOVES food! He is a very laidback boy and will happily ignore the most excitable dogs when needed – he has even been poached by a local trainer to be stooge dog. He is ball and sock mad, and will play for hours at a time if allowed.

Nessie
Nessie is our 1 year old small cockapoo. We call her our ‘catdog’ as she is not like your usual puppy she would rather be snoozing on the bed, sofa or nosing out the window being nosey Nessie! She loves to play with soft toys and chase Rolo around the garden when she has her energetic 5 minutes.
